Airtel money Uganda: how does it work?
Airtel simplifies the process of sending and receiving mobile money. In order to use their services, follow these easy steps and you’ll be able to send money faster than snapping your fingers.Â
Before starting to use the Airtel money Uganda service, you first need to register your Airtel Sim card. Once you have done that, you will also automatically be registered to the money transfer service.Â
After registration, activate your Airtel Uganda Mobile money account by dialling *185#. Select the 1st option, then choose a PIN code, and confirm it. Take note that you will need the code for all mobile money transactions so make sure you don’t forget it.Â
Once activated, if you want to send or receive money, dial *185#, then:Â
- select the “Send Money” option
- input the receiver’s phone number
- enter the amount you wish to send
- input the pin number you selected when you activated the Mobile Money option
- Send
After each transfer, you will receive an SMS that confirms your transaction!
