EE data bolt-on: how can I top-up my phone?

To accommodate for each customer’s needs, EE provides their subscribers with different types of solutions to buy data top-ups:

  • Online via MyEE: you just need to log in to your MyEE account, scroll through the Menu and click on Top-Up. You can either make a single payment every time you need a top-up or set a recurring payment plan to automate the process.  
  • Via text messages: If your credit or debit card is already registered on your MyEE account, you can top up your data just by sending a text to 150. Just type “CR” followed by a space, then the last four digits of your credit card, then another space, and then the amount (between £5 and £95) that you want to top-up on your account.
  • Via phone call: From the UK, just call 150 on your EE phone and follow the instructions. In case you are in a foreign country and need top-up, you can either dial +44 7953 966 250 from any phone or dial 360 from your EE phone. Then follow the instructions.
  • Via Vouchers: you can buy vouchers from any EE shop in the UK, or in one of the 100 000 official brick-and-mortar resellers shops in the country. You’ll get a 16-digit code that you will need in order to activate the top-up. Just text “VO” followed by a space and then the 16 digits to 150 or call 150 and follow the instructions.
  • Via Top-up Cards: They are pretty much the same as vouchers except you’ll get a 13-digit code. To activate them, text “ETU” followed by a space and the 13 digits to 150 or call 150 and follow the instructions.

EE data: how can I activate my SIM card?

  • To activate your EE SIM card, you need to insert the SIM into your device.
  • Once the card is safely inserted, turn on your phone and wait for the EE symbol to appear at the top of your screen.
  • The activation is only a matter of minutes. In some cases, more time might be needed, up to a maximum of 24 hours.
