Vodafone internet deals: top-up plans and offers
Vodafone has created five different bundles to accommodate their pay-as-you-go internet users in the UK.
Be careful though, the “5x more data” that you see on the commercial above only works for three months. Hence the Vodafone internet deals can be summed-up as follows:
- 3GB data + 250 minutes of phone calls + unlimited texts for £10 a month
- 6GB data + 250 minutes of phone calls + unlimited texts for £15 a month
- 10GB data + 1000 minutes of phone calls + unlimited texts for £20 a month
- 20GB data + 3000 minutes of phone calls + unlimited texts for £30 a month
- Unlimited data + unlimited minutes of phone calls + unlimited texts for £50 a month
Not a big fan of bundles?
Vodafone offers a free sim that you can top up when you need it, only paying for what you need. However, with Vodafone’s price list being 20p per minute of phone call / 20p per text /20pt per 5MB of data, the fee can add up pretty fast!
Vodafone internet: how can I top up my phone?
Vodafone allows for a wide range of top-up options that can be divided into offline options and online options.
Topping-up offline
- Via phone call: simply call 2345 from your Vodafone mobile phone and follow the instructions.
- Via text: send a text to 2345 from your Vodafone mobile phone.
The text must be written as follows: “TOPUP” followed by a space, then the amount you want to top up on your account, then another space, and finally the 4 for digits of your payment card. Please note that this option is only available if you have previously registered the payment card on your Vodafone account - Via TopUp Vouchers: they can be bought in any Vodafone store, as well as in all partner stores displaying the Vodafone logo. Note that you will need to connect to your MyVodafone account to activate your voucher. Log in to your account on the MyVodafone portal or mobile app, select Top Up in the menu, and click on the “Activate your voucher” button.
- In store: You can find Vodafone Top-up self-service kiosks in Vodafone stores all across the UK. Simply follow the instructions.
Topping-up online
To top-up your Vodafone data the simplest way is to connect to your MyVodafone account through Vodafone’s website. Go to My Vodafone, then click on Top Up, and finally on the TopUp Portal link on the banner :
- Enter your Vodafone phone number
- Select the amount of your top-up.
- Enter your payment details (card, PayPal, …)
- Click on Review your order
- Proceed with payment
Note that you can follow similar steps on the MyVodafone app. The TopUp item can be found in the main menu.
An interesting option: Vodafone allow its pay-as-you-go subscribers to set up automatic payment with the Auto Top Up option in the Top up menu. You can set up a recurring weekly or monthly payment, or even a refill that is automatically triggered when you run out of data! Auto Top Up is also available by phone call: call 2345 from your Vodafone mobile line and follow the instructions.
